Where Good Judgement is Won or Lost

Having diverse people in the room is not the same as having diverse thinking in the decision. You can build the most varied board or team in your sector. Different backgrounds, different disciplines, different histories. And still make narrow decisions.

Because representation is who is present. It says nothing about whose thinking reaches the decision.

In most rooms, perspectives get raised and then filtered. Dissent gets noted and then set aside. The group settles long before it has tested its own thinking. The people were diverse. The decision was not.

This is the difference I work on. Not how diverse your board or team looks, but how much of its real thinking survives the journey from the room to the decision.

That is where good judgement is won or lost.

Are your most important decisions getting the full benefit of the people already around your table? It is a conversation worth having.

A woman with long red hair and glasses is sitting on a couch, talking on a phone while taking notes in a notebook. A laptop is placed on a table in front of her, and there are green plants in the background.
