Many of us assume contribution means having the best idea. But contribution can be much simpler than that. Sometimes it looks like asking one thoughtful question.
In Chapter 2 of Weird Wisdom® at Work, there’s a reminder to us that wisdom is exchanged through conversations that encourage deeper thinking, not through having all the answers.
One curious question can:
• expose assumptions
• redirect a project
• help people see blind spots
• create better decisions
The next time you’re in a meeting, don’t ask yourself: “What should I say?”
Instead ask: “What question hasn’t been asked yet?”
You might completely change the conversation.
