Last weekend I travelled to New Zealand for the PSANZ Trailblazers Convention. I was honoured to speak at the event, but what I’ll hold closest are the friendships, connections, and unexpected lessons.

After receiving thoughtful feedback from Yamini Naidu, CSP, someone whose insight I respect beyond words, I took the opportunity to volunteer during Rebecca Ahmed‘s workshop. I shared Yamini’s feedback with the group, and with Rebecca’s expertise and guidance, we reworked my performance—not the content, but the stagecraft.

The most powerful part? Everyone in the room had seen the “before” in real time, so they could watch the changes unfold. That kind of collective learning is rare—and it reminded me that feedback, when given with respect and received with openness, isn’t criticism. It’s a catalyst for the future

I’m so grateful to Yamini, Rebecca, and everyone in the workshop for their generosity and encouragement. Thank you all.
